Quote of the Moment
You'll use it, boy, and as long as you hate using it, you will use it more wisely than most men would. Wait. If ever you don't hate it any longer, then will be the time to throw it as far as you can and run the other way.

-Elyas Machera, to Perrin Aybara

Martin Andersen
Martin Andersen ... what can I say about our Norwegian friend. He makes great scenery WoT art that's what! His pieces, especially the one of Dragon Mount, give a whole new perspective to what I envisioned that fabled mountain to look like.
Definitely check out his works here, and do see his site as well, it is particularly well set up, with some cool flash work done to it as well! Enjoy!

Netweaver
For some time, our mysterious netweaver had just sent in his work...but since then, we've found out his name, and seen more of his work. Stefan Chivers has demonstrated a true ability to put down into an art form what the mind can conceive.

Much of the time while reading the series, we get so wrapped up in the characters, or the plots...that we forget to imagine the world itself that the story takes place in. Our netweaver has done an excellent job in capturing mental picture of the world of the Wheel of Time

Nebhead
This is our very own Nebhead's art. He sent in this piece of art along with some art that corresponds with his works in literature. Head on over to the writter's pad/fiction post and see his stuff (Moon's Spawn is one).

So here is his piece from WoT. As is popular with our artists now adays...he took some creative liscence with this work. Leave it to our Nebhead to be a man of many talents...art, writting...err...eating.

Frenchkiss
Well after five times through the series, it really does sink in. Frenchkiss sent in her best 3D digital work...and I must say that it is impressive. I know that it can be very hard to get all the shadowing and colors to work...and she did a very good job.

Well if this is the initial work, I look forward to our American living abroad turning in more artwork. I for one would love to see some of the great cities or other landscapes from our favorite fantasy series. *hint hint*

Rob Christianson
Rob's "The Death of Kinslayer" picture is one of the coolest pieces of WoT art you will find anywhere. My guess is it has spent a lot of time on people's desktops! One of the fathers of WoT art on the Internet.

Henrik Lehtinen
Henrik is another extremely talented artist who uses a computer to generate his art. His earlier works include more landscapes and WoT objects, his more recent art tends to include characters as well. And he gets bonus points for using the word "Randland" in the introduction to his art gallery...

Darin Johnston
Darin is one of our newest digital artists. He's been doing digital art for sometime, and has decided to now get his name and his work out there to see what the world thinks.

With two concepts in mind, Darin brought to life, a scene and a location that all wot fans know well. Hope you enjoy them, I know that I did.

I have to say that having some good digital art come through is quite a treat. It doesn't often happen, and I like seeing it. So imagine my delight when we got some in!

I like how the rendering was done, and the attention to detail. There is also some other works on his personal site...check it out!

Jeff Wadsworth
Back when wotmania was first getting started, Jeff was one of the artists who gave permission to post a few of his pictures as illustrations for the Encyclopedia. Illustrations were removed from those pages a long time ago, but Jeff’s work definitely deserves a spot in the Art Gallery. These pictures are three of his best, but there are over twenty at his site - and all are excellent pieces WoT art!

Chi Cheung ... what can one say about great Computer Generated WoTart! I really like the pieces he has done so far, and was genuinely impressed with his site layout when I first peaked into his website a month back or so.

Christer Ron Engblom
Christer Ron Engblom's WoT art is of course computer generated, but his attention to detail fools my eyes into thinking I am looking at a photograph. His piece featuring Tar Valon gave in me a true longing to be a tourist in "RandLand" *Shudders at using that name* and sitting atop a nearby hill to take in the sight of Tar Valon in all it's glory! His work is just simply marvelous! Check it out at his site!!!

Jared Magneson
"I am a young artist living near Seattle. I have felt the pull of the Wheel for years now, yet still have little time for artistry... Recreating the wonderful cities and structures from the Wheel of Time is tedious and powerful for me, in the works are a few scenes of Shadar Logoth, the Black Tower, and also the male Choedan Kal in action. Thanks for viewing!"

That was a little bit that Jared had to say about himself. He's also featured over on the OF digital gallery...so enjoy.

Paul Balchin
Paul Balchin's artwork is very cutting edge in my opinion. His color work, which has a very dark feel to it in most pictures, really does capture the darker side to the characters of WoT. He draws something out of them in his artwork - a real depth of soul. His site is definitely worth checking into!

Beryl van Eeden
Now I don't know about you all, but this picture of Semirhage is seriously creepy. She's got that simple look...darkly beautiful, but there is something that just sort of sets me on edge. This is much akin to how she is described in the books...with her sadistic nature, and her beauty...one has no other reaction but one of fright. I also like the almost flippant nature of Lanfear. She's the most powerful, and she knows it.

Now the picture of Egwene and Gawyn. Beautiful. It's like the two of them were meant to be together. Very nice...now let's just hope that they do end up together.

David Howse
David Howse is from his own description a recent convert to WoT. Yet, he has a great eye for scenery, and can bring alive a place in WoTland with just a mere inkling of what it is described as by RJ himself. His take on the Black Tower, and the way it is isolated blew my mind, and is full of creativity (and was stated by the artist to not be completely accurate according to the text of RJ, it is just his imagining of the place). I definitely look forward to seeing more of David's works here at wotmania.

Madeleine Gusdal
I can honestly say that what I like the most about Madeleine's art is how so much life is captured in each picture. I love the expression on Nynaeve's face....calm assurance and peace, and then the inborn will power of Egwene.

What also impresses me is that she sent in some great hand-drawn art as well. Check it out on the other page!
